Our policy

We value your time and ask that you value ours. A $50 cancellation fee applies in the following situations:

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment
No-shows
Arriving more than 15 minutes past your appointment time

Why we have this policy

As a boutique practice focused on giving every patient our full attention, we schedule fewer appointments per day than a traditional dental office. When an appointment is cancelled last minute or missed entirely, we’re rarely able to fill that time, which means another patient who could have used that slot goes without care.

Our cancellation policy helps us keep appointments available for the people who need them most and allows us to continue offering the kind of unhurried, personalized care POM is built around.

Cancellations or reschedules made more than 24 hours before your appointment are always free of charge.

Emergencies and extenuating circumstances

We understand that life happens. If you’re facing a genuine emergency or unexpected circumstance, please let us know as soon as you can. POM Dental Hygiene Studio reviews cancellation fee waivers on a case-by-case basis for situations such as sudden illness, family emergencies, or other events genuinely outside your control.

Running late

If you know you’re going to be late, please call ahead. We’ll do our best to accommodate you, but arrivals more than 15 minutes past the scheduled start time may need to be rescheduled because cleaning appointments are timed to allow a thorough, unhurried visit, and a late start can compromise the quality of care we’re able to provide in the remaining time.

Credit card on file

A valid credit card is required on file at the time of booking. Cancellation fees will be charged to the card on file. You’ll always receive a receipt for any charges.
